Hi, I’m Deepak. As a qualified optometrist with 20 years of experience, I’m the founder and owner of Albert Road Opticians in Wilmslow as well as Station Road Opticians in Cheadle Hulme.
I dedicate my time to helping clients take care of their eye health and correct their vision with stunning eyewear.
As the lead optometrist for both Albert Road and Station Road, being a long-time glasses wearer too has allowed me to empathise with the struggle to find personalised eyecare and an enjoyable eyewear experience.
That’s why I ensure that every client that comes through our doors receives the best eyecare and eyewear possible. I believe everyone deserves personal service, reliable advice, and glasses that make them look and feel great.
My Optometry Background
My life in optometry started when I completed my training at City University, London in 2003. From there I worked as a pre-registration optometrist in the City of Manchester, where I successfully joined the General Optical Council as a fully qualified member.
Following that, I worked as a residential Optometrist in a private laser clinic where I gained notable experience in refractive surgery, and as a locum Optometrist in a variety of practices.
It was at this point that I knew it was time to open my own opticians where I could truly provide the extraordinary level of eyecare and eyewear I was passionate about.
So since 2010, I’ve been dedicated to making Albert Road Opticians in Wimslow the destination for both outstanding eyecare and remarkable eyewear.
With the hugely positive reaction we’d had from people who wanted an experience like no other, Station Road Opticians in Cheadle Hulme followed in 2018.
Attention to detail is my thing, and that makes my ethos at Albert Road and Station Road simple: I leave no stone unturned and that makes us stand apart from the rest.
The Story Behind Our Unique Glasses
The story behind this is a relatable one.
Like so many, I grew up wearing ‘uncool’ and ill-fitting glasses, which sadly continued to well into the noughties. I lived with the stigma and discomfort of being a glasses wearer before designer or bespoke glasses were widely available.
When I finally found my first pair of stylish glasses I felt like a brand new person, stepping out into the world…
I remember the first compliment I received from the barista at the local coffee shop and from that moment I didn’t doubt that great glasses had transformed my appearance and my outlook on life.
And since I don’t do things by halves, I’m now on a mission to ‘Save The World From Mediocre Glasses’, one pair at a time!
My passion is enabling people to discover incredible glasses, because it really can be life changing when you find the glasses that make you look and feel incredible.
