When Deepak first discovered award-winning Vinylize eyewear while visiting Budapest back in 2018, he was hooked…
Original eyewear handmade from upcycled vinyl records. Very different, incredibly cool and perfect for those seeking edgy glasses…
Founded by Zack Tipton, the story began back in Seattle when he uncovered his father’s old vinyl collection and was inspired to re-use them and create unique eyewear. His prototype frame was fashioned from a Credence Clearwater Revival album circa 2000, and he hit the road to find a way to manufacture more frames made from records. Zack’s journey eventually led to the founding of Vinylize in Budapest.
Today it takes a small team six weeks to fabricate each frame by hand in Europe. Plus, their upcycle ethos means Vinylize keep more than 3 tonnes of vinyl out of landfill every year. That’s about 20,000 fresh-pressed records sourced from distributors that would otherwise end up as discarded plastics clogging up the ecosystem!
Each Vinylize frame is as individual as the vinyl it was created with, geared for a bold eyewear look with a contemporary, composed style and added music soul.
Vinylize are award-winning for excellent design, and only produce limited editions of each frame model (about 70 pieces). There’s definitely something incomparable about the immaculate, strong shaping and satiny, tactile aesthetic of a Vinylize frame.
And they have collaborated with some of the world’s biggest music artists for high-profile collections – like the AC/DC eyewear which we excitedly managed to source and share with our “thunderstruck” clients
We’re especially fond of Vinylize eyewear and working with wearers seeking the ultimate alternative frame. You’ll get all the help you need to find your ideal pair and make a stand-out glasses statement – and feel as utterly cool as you’ll look.
